🚗 Full Lock Driving School Terms & Conditions

Welcome 👋

Thanks for choosing Full Lock Driving School!

Learning to drive should be an enjoyable and rewarding experience, and these terms are here to make sure everything runs smoothly for both of us.

By booking lessons, you agree to the following:

💳 Payments

  • Lessons must be paid in full at least 48 hours before your lesson.

  • You can pay via bank transfer, card, or cash.

  • Card payments may include a small processing fee.

  • Your first lesson must be paid in advance and is non-refundable if cancelled.

  • If paying cash, please ensure you are always one lesson paid ahead.

  • Lesson prices may change occasionally, but you’ll always be given at least 4 weeks’ notice.

  • Regular lesson slots can’t be held without consistent bookings and payments.

🔁 Cancellations

I completely understand that things come up — just let me know as early as possible.

  • At least 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or rearrange a lesson.

  • Less than 48 hours’ notice means the lesson will be charged in full.

  • Repeated cancellations or missed lessons may result in your regular slot being offered to someone else.

Block Bookings

  • If you’ve booked a block of lessons, any refund will be worked out at the standard hourly rate (not discounted).

  • Lessons within 48 hours are non-refundable.

  • A small £10 admin fee applies to refunds.

  • Any unused lesson credit must be used within 3 months, otherwise it will expire.

👩‍🏫 Your Instructor

You’ll be learning with Jasmine, who is fully approved by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency.

You can expect:

  • A safe, dual-controlled, fully insured car

  • A calm, supportive, and professional learning environment

  • Clear guidance to help you progress at your own pace

⏰ Lesson Times

  • Please be ready at your agreed time and location.

  • If you’re more than 10 minutes late without contact, the lesson may be cancelled and charged.

  • I won’t knock on doors if you don’t come out — so please keep an eye on the time 😊

  • Pick-up and drop-off locations should be agreed in advance.

  • Changes may shorten your lesson slightly if it affects the schedule.

  • If I’m ever late, I’ll make up the time or add it to a future lesson.

🚦 Driving Tests

  • Driving tests should be booked with my guidance to make sure you’re fully prepared.

  • Use of my car for your test is based on you being ready and safe to pass.

  • If I feel you’re not quite ready, I may ask you to move your test — this is to give you the best chance of passing.

  • If advice isn’t followed, I may not be able to provide the car for your test.

  • Tests must be booked through the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency.

  • I’m not responsible for any lost test fees.

🚫 Conduct & Safety

  • Please arrive fit to drive — no alcohol or drugs in your system.

  • If I believe you’re not safe to drive, the lesson will be cancelled and charged.

  • Respectful behaviour is expected at all times.

  • Any aggressive or inappropriate behaviour will result in lessons being stopped immediately.

 

❤️ Health & Wellbeing

 

 

Your safety (and mine) is always the top priority, so it’s important you’re fit to drive for every lesson.

 

  • Please let me know about any medical conditions, injuries, or medications that could affect your ability to drive safely.

  • You must not attend a lesson if you feel unwell, unfit to drive, or if your ability may be impaired in any way.

  • This includes the effects of prescription medication, over-the-counter medication, illness, fatigue, or anything that may impact your concentration or reactions.

  • If I believe you are not fit to drive (including being unwell or affected by medication), the lesson may be cancelled for safety reasons, and the full lesson fee will still apply.

  • If you are unsure whether you are fit to drive, please check in advance — it’s always better to rearrange with sufficient notice.

 

🛑 Ending Lessons

I always aim to create a positive and supportive learning environment, and most pupils progress without any issues. However, there are some situations where lessons may need to come to an end.

  • Lessons may be stopped if payments are not kept up to date or if these terms are not followed.

  • Ongoing cancellations, missed lessons, or irregular attendance may result in your regular slot being released.

  • Any form of aggressive, abusive, or inappropriate behaviour will result in lessons ending immediately.

  • If I feel that continuing lessons would not be safe, suitable, or in your best interests, I may advise stopping or pausing lessons.

If lessons are ended in these circumstances, any unused lesson credit will be handled in line with the cancellation and refund policy above.

Vehicle Breakdown or Issues

While every effort is made to keep the car well maintained and reliable, unexpected mechanical issues can occasionally happen.

  • If a lesson cannot go ahead or has to be stopped due to a vehicle breakdown or fault, you will not be charged for any lost lesson time.

  • Where possible, any lost time will be rescheduled or added to a future lesson.

  • Full Lock Driving School cannot be held responsible for any additional costs, delays, or inconvenience caused by vehicle breakdowns or mechanical issues.

If a breakdown, damage, or tyre puncture is caused as a result of the pupil’s actions or failure to follow instruction:

  • The remaining lesson time may be lost and still charged in full.

  • The pupil may be held responsible for reasonable repair or recovery costs, where appropriate.

My aim is to help you pass safely and confidently — these terms just make sure everything is fair and clear for both of us.
